Torino coach Ivan Juric stressed ‘it was not a great match’, was satisfied with Andrea Belotti and claimed the Granata ‘did well’ to secure a 2-1 win over Udinese on Monday.

Toro hosted Luca Gotti’s men at the Grande Torino for the last match in Serie A Week 13 and Juric admitted it had been a ‘difficult’ encounter.

Bremer: ‘I’m trying to improve my stats’

Josip Brekalo scored the opening goal before Bremer added the second right after the break. Fernando Forestieri scored a consolation goal for Udinese, who pushed for the equaliser towards the end.

“It was a difficult and tough match, we could have finished it 2-0, but we didn’t manage it well and suffered until the end,” Juric told Sky Sport Italia.

“They were pressing our characteristics, which are to play with intensity and on the second balls. There’s definitely room for improvement.

“I hope to further raise the level of players like [Josip] Brekalo, [Dennis] Praet and [Andrea] Belotti. It wasn’t a great match, but we did well.

“After 2-0 we were in control and had to be more clinical. Udinese are a really tough team, well built.”

Juric said he was satisfied with Italy international Belotti’s performance and claimed only the goal was missing for the captain.

“He did the right things, I liked him a lot today,” Juric said. “It was only the goal that was missing, he has to work with serenity.

“With an attacker like him in good shape, the team certainly raise their level.”
