Tomorrow they face each other in Verona-Atalanta at the Stadio Bentegodi.
“We met at Crotone for the first time. He was not as known as today and he opened my eyes. I saw a different football with him,” Juric said at a press conference.

“We met at Crotone for the first time. He was not as known as today and he opened my eyes. I saw a different football with him,” Juric said at a press conference.
“He changes continuously, he invents new things, he plays total football, and he is the best coach for me. Give him a top club, and he will beat everyone.
“Surely, he is the best coach in Italy. I’d like to see him in a top club. We have a strong relationship. He gave me so much,” the coach continued.
“I am proud to be called a pupil of Gasperini. We are different, but I am still learning. We have different characters, but I am proud people say we are similar coaches.”
However, they won’t meet on the sidelines as Juric will serve a one-match ban.
“I am sorry for the red card, I was frustrated. I lost my cool and I tried to find someone to blame, namely the referee, but it wasn’t his fault.
“[Matteo] Paro will be on the bench. He was born to be an assistant coach. I was not a great assistant, I didn’t do well with Gasp. He is ahead of me in so many aspects, he says things I am not able to see.
“We know Atalanta are at top-level. We’ll try to create trouble for them, being aware they have everything and they can score in so many ways, we’ll need a perfect game.
“They’ve been eliminated from the Champions League and they can become animals, in a positive way.
“They’ll have the wickedness of the great teams and we must be able to hit back.
“I hope we’ll play a great game, I want to see an angry team that wants to put in a great performance.”
