Juric: ‘Fiorentina game is difficult’

Genoa Coach Ivan Juric admits “it’s not easy to interpret” tomorrow’s hour-long game against Fiorentina.

The match was initially called-off in Week 3, and the final 62 minutes will be played at Marassi tomorrow.

“This has never happened to me before,” Juric admitted in the pre-match Press conference.

“Let’s see, I think we have to prepare for it normally as if it were a 90-minute match. The players have always given 100 per cent, I haven’t seen any declines across this season, so we want to start strong and stay strong.

“I’ll have to be careful, because [Miguel] Veloso is starting on a booking. It’s not easy to interpret. There are two ways to approach the game, but if one of them goes badly then the game is already compromised.

“The first game? We had started well, we surprised them and did some things which caused them problems. We only played 27 minutes though.”

It’s rumoured Leonardo Pavoletti has already agreed a deal with Napoli, will be fully focused in the weeks leading up to January?

“I’ve already told you that I don’t care about the transfer market. There are a lot of matches to prepare for in that time, and we have to focus on that.

“After the game against Torino, we’ll sit down and only then will we evaluate things. Now I just want to focus on our matches.”
