Torino coach Ivan Juric was disheartened after a 4-1 defeat to Milan, admitting there is ‘an enormous difference’ between these teams.

The Granata had been able to equalise through Perr Schuurs after the Christian Pulisic opener, but were then blown away by a couple of Olivier Giroud penalties and the magnificent Theo Hernandez dinked finish.

“There’s not much to say. They were clearly superior during the match and the gap between the squads in terms of individual quality is just huge,” Juric told Sky Sport Italia.

“There was an enormous difference between the teams and that is worrying considering last season we were able to beat Milan twice in three games.”

As well as in Serie A, the Granata knocked Milan out of the Coppa Italia with an extra time victory at San Siro.

The Rossoneri have changed a great deal since then, signing nine new players and changing their tactical system to 4-3-3.

“Aside from the fact they brought in players of a top European level, today my own team gave me a really negative sensation. I have to think carefully about this, we all have to think carefully.”

Torino had started their campaign with a disappointing goalless home draw against Claudio Ranieri’s Cagliari.

To make matters worse, this evening Antonio Sanabria limped off in the opening 20 minutes with a muscular problem.
