Torino coach Ivan Juric explains why Nemanja Radonjic is not even on the bench for today’s Derby della Mole against arch-rivals Juventus amid reports of a disciplinary issue.
It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).
“When a team goes from 37 to 53 points, it means everyone did a great job. If you want to go beyond that or achieve things that are not in your wheelhouse, you need to add something special,” Juric told DAZN.
“This is the right opportunity to spark something within us that we have not seen yet over the last two years.”
There had been multiple reports today that Radonjic was not called up due to disciplinary reasons after Juric criticised him for his work-rate and attitude in Friday’s press conference.
However, this evening the coach insists the issues between them have been blown out of proportion.
“No, he had a slight muscular issue, this is why he is not in the squad. I think he has played his games well, he’s an unusual lad in some situations, but we have faith in all our players. Everyone has ups and downs.”
