Ivan Juric discussed Bremer’s ‘great ambitions’ and the future of Andrea Belotti following Torino’s 1-1 draw with Juventus.

The Bianconeri took the lead against the run of play after only 13 minutes, when Matthijs de Ligt headed home a Juan Cuadrado corner to make it 1-0. The Granata refused to give up, however, and Belotti scored an equaliser in the second half, securing a point for his team.

Speaking in a press conference after the 1-1 draw with Juventus, Juric first reacted to the result.

“I agree, the team played a great game. We lacked the shot, a little more focus in front of goal and we would have brought it home.”

He discussed the performance of Belotti and his 79 minutes of action, having only recently returned from a muscle injury.

“He lasted so long and well, he had a good game with a goal too. He must think he’s doing well and have a great end to the season. The team is playing well and creating chances. At the end of the year he’ll decide calmly.”

The Torino coach spoke about Bremer’s performance and ambitions for the future.

“He’s a great guy, He cancelled out Vlahovic. And technically he did well, he’s a humble guy. He has great ambitions but he understood that the club has given him a lot and he wanted to recognise that, he put the club in a position to stay calm. He had a bit of cramp at the end.”

Finally, Juric discussed if this result will help Torino move past their mental block against Juventus.

“The team is growing, we started from a very low level on everything. I was disappointed with the last two games, today we played with great personality, facing Juve openly and dominating for large stretches. Now we have to play more games like this.”

Torino sit 10th in the Serie A table, three points behind Hellas Verona and two ahead of 11th place Empoli.

  1. Bremer played very well.

He’s improved a lot – he was bang average years ago. Hopefully he stays in Serie A now.
