Inter and Barcelona have reportedly agreed Junior Firpo can be part of a Lautaro Martinez swap deal, but not Arturo Vidal or Samuel Umtiti.

The Blaugrana are unwilling to pay the full €111m release clause in his contract, particularly as it would need to be in one instalment, so the clubs are trying to negotiate players as part of an exchange deal.

Multiple sources in Italy and Spain all seem to share the view that Junior Firpo is an acceptable inclusion for all parties involved.

The left-back turns 24 in August and so far this season has contributed one goal and one assist in 17 competitive games for Barcelona.

However, the clubs are struggling to work out what other players could be included.

Inter have made no secret of their desire to sign Vidal, but the midfielder is going into the final year of his contract at Camp Nou, so is not considered to be worth the €25-30m that Barcelona are trying to argue.

Similarly, Umtiti could well be an option for the Nerazzurri, but with his injury problems and poor form, Tuttosport note that Inter would rather the defender arrive either on loan or be a separate issue entirely from Lautaro Martinez.
