Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar says his side have caught the Serie A lift which is heading for the top floor.

The Nerazzurri have recovered from a problematic start to the season since the appointment of Leonardo and they are making strides in the standings.

Last night's 3-0 win at Bari saw another three points clawed back and they are now joint third in the table, just seven points behind leaders Milan and with a game in hand.

"We've now caught the lift to go up, let's just hope that we get there as soon as possible," he told Inter Channel.

"I admit that I do look at the table, I look at the next round of games and I make my calculations…"

Cesar is now back in action after some niggling injury problems and he's happy with how he and the side is performing.

"The win against Bari was very important for me and the team," he added. "We're now back in form and we also managed to keep a clean sheet."
