Inter 'keeper Julio Cesar has heavily criticised his own performance in Brazil's 4-2 win over Ecuador last night.

The Selecao progressed to the quarter-finals of the Copa America thanks to two goals from Milan's Alexandre Pato.

However, at the other end, Julio Cesar hardly impressed and was at fault for Ecuador's temporary equaliser.

"I would give myself 1.5, perhaps a 2 out of 10 at best," the South American custodian admitted. "My display wasn't good at all."

Cesar's performance did bring back memories of his struggles in the World Cup exit to Holland a year ago.

"That was the most difficult moment of my career," continued the custodian. "Fortunately there was a happy ending this time around.

"I'm not worried about losing my place in the team though. You can't judge a player on just one performance."

Brazil will now play Paraguay in the last eight on Sunday.
