Former Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar has joined MLS side Toronto FC on loan until the end of the season.

The Brazilian goalkeeper was a perennial substitute at Queens Park Rangers, and in order to gain more playing time ahead of the World Cup, the shot-stopper has opted for a shot-term move to Canada.

The ex-Nerazzurri man had been linked with a transfer back to Italy, with Catania and Fiorentina reportedly interested.

However, Cesar has decided instead to join Jermaine Defoe and Michael Bradley in Toronto
