Napoli may be forced to give Natan his first start against Bologna, because both Amir Rrahmani and Juan Jesus are out injured.

The game kicks off at the Stadio Dall’Ara on Sunday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

It was already known that Rudi Garcia would have to do without Rrahmani, who limped off with a recurring muscular issue during the opening minutes of their Champions League win away to Sporting Braga midweek.

However, today it was confirmed that Juan Jesus pulled out during training due to a thigh issue in his left leg and will not be part of the travelling party making the journey to Bologna.

Pierluigi Gollini is also out of action, while Jens Cajuste did take part in the full session after missing the Braga match.

It means with two centre-backs unavailable, Garcia may well have to give summer signing Natan his first start alongside Leo Ostigard.

For several weeks now the Brazilian was rumoured to be starting, only to not play a single minute of football until a very late substitute appearance against Braga in the Champions League.

This should therefore be his Serie A debut.
