The exchange between the two players began yesterday, when Nainggolan wished Juan Jesus a happy 29th birthday with a cryptic ‘see you soon’.
“Best wishes, my man. See you soon…” wrote the Cagliari midfielder on Instagram.
That was then interpreted as a hint the 31-year-old would be returning to Roma or linking up with the Brazilian at Fiorentina.

However, the defender has now made it clear that he wishes to remain at the Olimpico with his former teammate.
“We’re waiting for you, the leader of our pack is missing! You’re the ninja wolf!” he responded.
Nainggolan is currently on loan at Cagliari from Inter, but the Sardinians do not have an option to buy.
He moved to the Nerazzurri for €40m in the summer of 2018 but has never hid his affection for the Giallorossi, where he played 203 times in four-and-a-half seasons, scoring 33 goals.
