Luka Jovic is truly becoming a super sub for Milan, scoring five crucial goals in the last seven games, despite only playing 205 minutes of football.

The former Fiorentina striker came off the bench for only 10 minutes in tonight’s trip to Frosinone and got the winning goal for a final 3-2 result.

In the last seven Serie A matches, Jovic’s goals have been decisive to bring in seven points during that period.

The only fixture he started in that run was 3-1 to Frosinone on December 12, netting off the bench against Atalanta, Salernitana, Udinese and again Frosinone.

The Serbian didn’t even feature against Monza, Empoli and Roma, so scored on average a goal for every 41 minutes on the pitch.

Milan signed Jovic from Fiorentina in a rather odd arrangement, as he was a free agent on transfer deadline day, with a contract that is set to expire on June 30.

The Rossoneri have an option to extend that contract for another three seasons and Fiorentina will receive a hefty chunk of the sell-on fee if he does leave San Siro.

This run of form might be enough to convince Milan to stick with Jovic, who just turned 26 in December.

He had shown such promise early in his career that Real Madrid paid €63m to sign him from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2019.
