The 25-year-old reported for international duty in spite of a dubious physical conditions, prompting speculation of a rift between the player and his club.

While Jovetic was quick to deny controversial rumours, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that yesterday he did not train with the rest of the Montenegro team, and only did a little bit of running, as his condition is still far from match-ready.

The publication reports that unless Jovetic returns to training with the group today, he is very unlikely to play Montenegro's game against Austria, and almost certainly not from the first minute.

He may also return home early, before the game against Russia, should Montenegro fail to qualify in advance.
