Stevan Jovetic confirms Roberto Mancini is one of the main reasons he chose to leave Manchester City for Inter.

The Montenegro international completed his transfer this week, on loan with mandatory option to buy.

“I am happy to be in Italy and especially to be at Inter,” Jo-Jo told Inter Channel.

“I hope to do great things here. Mancini already wanted me in 2008 and then brought me to City, so I am happy to be back working with him again.

“Everyone I spoke to about Mancini had nothing but good things to say. I can’t wait to start playing with this team. I’m very happy.”

Jovetic is already in the squad for tomorrow night’s friendly with Galatasaray in Istanbul, so could get his Nerazzurri debut.

Earlier today he had also spoken to Sport Mediaset about his time with the Citizens.

“I had a few problems at Manchester City, but I wasn’t the only one. Even when I was in good shape, the Coach never let me play.

“In any case, I don’t want to talk about City. I wish them all the best.”
