Stevan Jovetic said he is at Inter “to score goals” after netting in the first half of their friendly with Athletic Bilbao.

The former Manchester City striker had his first start this evening at the Stadio Tardini and broke the deadlock with a well-taken finish.

“There are two weeks until the start of the season and I will feel even better then, but to be honest I feel pretty good now,” Jovetic told Mediaset Premium.

“I am getting to know my teammates. We are doing well and must continue along this path. I get along well with Mauro Icardi, as he is a great striker and I am convinced our rapport with continue to improve.

“I am happy that people expect goals from me, as that is what I am here for and I hope to keep doing better.”
