Stevan Jovetic looks to be edging closer to a move to Manchester City, if claims in the British Press are to be believed.

The Daily Mirror have reported this morning that the Fiorentina striker is nearing a transfer to Manuel Pellegrini’s side, with the English club ready to bid €30m for the forward.

The Montenegrin has been heavily linked with a move away from Stadio Artemio Franchi this summer, with Juventus having two bids rejected for Jovetic.

But the with Old Lady buying Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente, and also being linked with Alessandro Diamanti, it seems they are veering away from the 23-year-old.

As such, the Citizens are ready to make a move for ‘Jo-Jo’ and see themselves in pole position following their good relationship with the Viola.

City have dealt with the Tuscans recently, buying Matija Nastasic last summer, and selling Stefan Savic to Vincenzo Montella’s men.
