Chelsea playmaker Jorginho is ‘only focused on Juventus‘ and refuses to discuss N’Golo Kante’s vaccination status.

The French midfielder will miss the Blues’ trip to Turin as he’s tested positive for COVID.

During his pre-match press conference, Jorginho was asked his thoughts on the COVID vaccine and whether or not Kante got a jab.

“This is really new, I just knew this morning, at the moment I think about the game tomorrow, this is a personal thing, everyone has a choice so I am not going through that, to be honest with you,” the former Napoli star said.

The Premier League giants meet Juventus at the Allianz Stadium tomorrow.

It kicks off at 20.00 UK time.

The Bianconeri have had a tough start to the season with just two wins from six Serie A games.

Tuchel: ‘You don’t need Ronaldo to win games, Kante has COVID’

“Obviously, tactically they are really strong they know how to defend in the box they are very organized, they have been there for many years and we need to try to break them with speed and energy. We know it’s going to be difficult, we respect them but we’ll try to win,” Jorginho said.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side beat Sampdoria 3-2 over the weekend, while the Blues suffered a 1-0 defeat against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

“We were a bit passive, they were pressing very well, they did a great job, we need to learn from it and make it better next time,” Jorginho admitted.

“We didn’t have the best choice trying to skip the pressure, the pressure was very high and they pressed well, we couldn’t find the space between the lines trying to get out of the pressing. We run a lot behind the ball and we couldn’t think that much. I think maybe we didn’t get the best choice.

“We had a lot of games, there’s no time to train and no time to rest, we just try to keep pushing and work hard. It’s very difficult with all these games in a short period of time,” the Italy international concluded.

Both Juventus and Chelsea won their opening Champions League fixture against Malmo and Zenit respectively.

Tomorrow they meet at the Allianz Stadium with several of their stars out of action to injuries.

The Serie A giants will be without Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata while Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic, Reece James and Mason Mount join Kante on the sidelines.
