During his interview with Sky Sport Italia, Italy midfielder Jorginho politely refused to provide updates about his future at Chelsea: ‘You are done with questions,’ he said smiling.

Jorginho’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season and he’s been linked with a return to Serie A with Juventus and Milan interested.

He was asked for updates on his future at the very end of an interview with Sky Sport Italia, but Jorginho politely refused to answer.

“Will you stay at Chelsea? We know your agent is talking…” asked journalist Valentina Mariani.

The Italy international began to answer, saying “it’s normal that…” Then, he suddenly stopped and started talking to somebody behind the scenes: “This is another question,” said the Italy international

He then referred to the journalist again with a smile, adding: “You are done with questions, bye-bye.” That was the end of the interview.

Jorginho had previously said that he hadn’t watched the World Cup in the opening stages revealing that he didn’t even know kick-off times.

However, he did watch the Final between Argentina and France.

“It was incredible, the best I can remember. After the first half, I was a bit disappointed because it wasn’t really alive. I thought it was over and then they [France] woke up from nothing, playing an extraordinary game. A World Cup deserves these kinds of matches.

“Mbappé scored three goals but lost the Final and it must be tough.

“Every time Messi touched the ball, there was the feeling something could happen. They did something extraordinary, they can only be thanked for what they did.”

Jorginho is now ready to resume the season with the Blues after the World Cup break.

“It’s strange, I think it’s the first time ever,” he said.

“It will be something new for everyone. There was a mini-training retreat in the middle of the season. Those who didn’t go to the World Cup had a long break to help their body recover. There were many games and more will come.”

What does he make of new Chelsea boss Graham Potter?

“He is very nice, a good person and a hard worker. He has his ideas very clear, he is creating a nice rapport with players, made of trust and communication. He is on the right path.”

Jorginho was also asked to participate in the game ‘start one, bench one and sell one’, picking between him, Luka Modric and Jude Bellingham.

“What kind of game is this?” he said, smiling.

“I’d sell myself, start Modric and bench Bellingham.”
