Jorginho ‘could go to Milan, Inter, Juve, Napoli or Roma’

Jorginho’s agent confirms returning to Serie A is ‘a dream’ for the Chelsea midfielder, specifying he could go to ‘Milan, Inter, Juventus, Roma or Napoli,’ while he had previous talks with PSG and Barcelona.

The Brazil-born player moved to Italy to be part of the Hellas Verona youth academy and found fame at Napoli before following coach Maurizio Sarri to Chelsea.

He has won numerous trophies with the Blues, including the Champions League and Club World Cup, but his contract is due to expire in June 2023 and there have been growing reports Juventus will attempt a summer swoop.

“Playing in Serie A is a dream for him and his heart remains here,” agent Joao Santos told Tuttomercatoweb.

“As things stand today, he could play for four or five clubs: Milan, Inter, Juve, Roma or Napoli.”

Notably, the representative did not mention Sarri’s current club, Lazio, so a reunion with his old coach seems improbable.

The latest rumours have all been around Juventus, who are looking to revamp their midfield after a disappointing campaign, with Arthur Melo likely to be replaced.

“There are many clubs interested in him. In the past I spoke to PSG, Barcelona and also Milan’s Ricky Massara. I don’t know if the Rossoneri are still interested, though.

“The fact remains, we can’t do anything now because Chelsea are not allowed to sell, buy or renew contracts.

“Jorginho has a contract until June 2023, after the World Cup we’ll see about working on a renewal.”

Chelsea assets have been frozen as part of the sanctions imposed on Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.
