Italy international Jorginho has confirmed what Mohamed Salah told him during Sunday’s penalty shootout at the Carabao Cup Final between Chelsea and Liverpool.

Jorginho’s Chelsea lost the Final at Wembley after a dramatic 22-penalty shootout. Jorginho was introduced during the extra time to take one of the penalties he didn’t miss.

The former Napoli and Verona playmaker crossed his path with Momo Salah while walking towards the spot and the Egypt international seemed to tell him ‘don’t jump’ referring to his famous penalty technique. The video has gone viral on social media and Jorginho has confirmed what Salah told him with a story published on Instagram. The 30-year-old shared a story of Sky Sport Italia reporting Salah’s words.

Jorginho has missed the last three penalty kicks in a row for Italy, including two against Switzerland in the World Cup qualification group. The 30-year-old has scored nine goals in 33 games with Chelsea this season and his contract expires in June 2023.
