“Jorginho has been Napoli’s most reliable player, because he’s playing in a role on the pitch that suits him,” Joao Santos explained to Radio Crc.

“Jorginho has been Napoli’s most reliable player, because he’s playing in a role on the pitch that suits him,” Joao Santos explained to Radio Crc.
“This summer there was a risk of him leaving. Of course, if Benitez had stayed he’d probably have left, and even before the match against [Club] Brugge I was talking about a transfer for January, and found four Italian teams interested in him.
“Italian clubs know Jorginho well, but that’s my job. I thank Sarri, who is giving my client the opportunity to prove his worth.
“[Sporting director Cristiano] Giuntoli was crucial in keeping Jorginho, because he always told me he wouldn’t let him leave, he always wanted to keep him.
“Slowly, Jorginho’s personality is coming through. Against Carpi he only played for 20 minutes, when he plays for 90 minutes he can definitely make a bigger contribution to the team.
“Jorginho has a very precise style, I’m glad that everyone is learning to appreciate his talents. If he’s played in his role, he can express himself well, it was only with Benitez that he played elsewhere
“Jorginho is improving, and can do even more, he’s the Napoli player who has won back the most balls.
“My client’s contract expires in 2018, and everything depends on Napoli. If Napoli want to improve and extend the relationship, he’ll remain in blue, if not he’ll go somewhere else in two years.”
