Jorge Mendes offers Ronaldo to Napoli – report

Jorge Mendes has reportedly offered Cristiano Ronaldo to Napoli in a bid to find his client a move away from Manchester United.

The 37-year-old Portuguese star is clearly angling for a move away from the Red Devils this summer as he looks to continue his individual dominance in the Champions League, but so far nothing has materialised, with top clubs like Bayern Munich focusing on younger targets instead.

As reported by Spanish outlet AS, Mendes has recently offered Ronaldo to several clubs around Europe including Napoli. He wants to play in the Champions League but a move to a number of suitable teams has already been ruled out, limiting his options somewhat.

Manchester United would be willing to send him out on loan, but the biggest obstacle for the time being is his salary, which’d cost at least €8m net per season. Whilst a deal does seem fairly unlikely at this stage, Napoli’s failure to sign Paulo Dybala does mean that they have some resources still available.
