According to Tuttosport, there are rumours that the player went as far as to ask Coach Paulo Sousa not to field him in tomorrow's game against Milan.

The publication further relates that the club already denied this rumour, stressing Joaquin's professionalism.

The Gigliati are expected to try and convince the player to stay with them for one more year and will try to find mutually beneficial terms, without forcing their hand.

Should they fail, they'll be expecting an offer from Betis, starting at €5m.

Fiorentina are considering a variety of alternatives and seem particularly keen on Liverpool's Fabio Borini and, in a more recent turn, on Roma's Juan Iturbe.
