Barella has played 51 times for the Nerazzurri since his move in July 2019 and his former teammate Joao Pedro says it’s no wonder the 23-year-old has impressed at San Siro.
“He hasn’t surprised me at all, because his quality was already visible at Cagliari,” Joao Pedro told Tuttosport.

“Nicolò has personality and the attitude that few players possess. In addition to all this, he adds quality and the skills of a hard worker.
“I can only be happy for him. He deserves everything he’s getting. He can grow even further, this is just the beginning.”
Barella played 112 games for the Rossoblu before moving to the Beneamata, contributing seven goals and six assists in the process.
