Sporting director Jesper Jansson has claimed ‘there’s a chance’ Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic will move back to Allsvenskan and play for Hammarby.
The former Sweden international has spent his time in Sweden training with the club he co-owns since buying a 25 per cent stake in the side last November and is expected to return to Milan today.
Jansson has praised the 38-year-old and said his presence has been a ‘positive’ aspect during a difficult time.
“It has been extremely positive. Especially during these times,” the sporting director told Expressen. “Both for me and the club, the attention and the media interest. Even for Allsvenskan and not least, for our players.
Zlatan turned up to training in the middle of April, as he used his ties with the club to keep fit during the forced break in Italy.
Now, the fans in Stockholm are dreaming of a return for the former Malmö FF player and Jansson won’t rule out the possibilities of a move for the Rossoneri hero.
“There’s a chance, I believe so,” he added. “But it’s only Zlatan himself who knows for sure. I have learned that he won’t say anything until he’s 100 per cent sure.”
