Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez reportedly injured his back in training and could miss tonight’s Champions League clash with Roma.

The two clubs face off at the Stadio Olimpico this evening in the first leg of their last 16 tie, with kick-off at 19:45 UK time. 

Spanish outlet Marca has reported today that Colombia international James picked up a back problem during training yesterday and is a doubt.

The attacking midfielder was forced to stop training and his absence could force Madrid Coach Zinedine Zidane into a change.

The newspaper reports that the two most likely alternatives are for Jese Rodriguez to replace him or to field another midfielder, possibly former Inter star Mateo Kovacic.
