The FIGC officially extended the contracts of Italy Under-21 coach Paolo Nicolato, as well as the coaches of the Italy Women’s, Futsal and Beach Soccer teams.
It comes a few days after senior Azzurri boss Roberto Mancini signed on to June 2026.
Nicolato has extended his contract with the Under-21 side to the summer of 2023.
The same date has also been given to contracts for Women’s Nazionale coach Milena Bertolini and youth team co-ordinator Maurizio Viscidi.
Futsal and Beach Soccer coaches Massimiliano Bellarte and Emiliano Del Duca renewed their contracts to June 2022 and October 2021 respectively.
“This was a choice made in the name of consistency, because the project we started several years ago is giving the results we hoped for,” noted FIGC President Gabriele Gravina.
“That means enthusiasm around the Azzurri jersey, more involvement from the fans, the growth of young players and results on the field for Club Italia.”
Italy are in the European Under-21 Championship from May 31 with the quarter-final against Portugal.
