Italy U19 coach Berardo Corradi wants to see his players smile and enjoy an EURO U19 semifinal against Spain today.

It kicks off at 15:00 CET (13:00 GMT) in Belfast today.

The Azzurri are the title holders and won Group A while Spain finished as runners-up in Group B behind France.

“I feel the appropriate tension that has made us get to the matchday with the right concentration,” Corradi said.

“We have worked more on the tactical and mental aspects than on our legs because, at this stage of the competition, it’s hard to have an impact on the athletic side of things. Mental energies will help us face a big game like this.

“Spain are different from the team we’ve faced in the past. They are more direct, with fewer ball possession, but they are still Spain,” the ex-striker continued.

“As the delegation chief Gianfranco Serioli said, big champions, or those who aspire to become so, can’t wait to play Italy-Spain. If I could, I’d love to play this game. I wish my players to play this game with the serenity of a team working hard for a month. Whatever happens in the game, positive or negative, we must have serenity to enjoy the moment. I’d like to see them play with smiles on their faces; it would be a nice satisfaction.”
