Italy have trained for the first time in Recife ahead of their game against Costa Rica tomorrow.

The Azzurri landed in the city earlier on Thursday and went straight to the Arena Pernambuco where they will face the Central American side.

The media were allowed in for the first 15 minutes of this afternoon’s session, and it seems that the only injury doubt is Gianluigi Buffon.

Sport Mediaset report that all the other members of the squad seemed to be training normally – including Andrea Barzagli.

The Juventus man had been a doubt for the match on Friday, but it seems that he will be available for selection.

Buffon meanwhile, is not at 100 per cent, and is therefore unlikely to be risked with Salvatore Sirigu playing so well in the first match against England.
