Antonio Conte will reportedly call up Wolfsburg winger Daniel Caligiuri to play for Italy.

The midfielder was born in Villingen-Schwenningen, but his family originates from Calabria.

According to German newspaper Bild, Caligiuri received notice of an imminent call-up for Italy’s next games against Croatia and Portugal in June.

“If Italy called me, I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment,” the player told reporters after Wolfsburg played Inter and Napoli in the Europa League.

Now 27, Caligiuri played for Friburg before moving on to Wolfsburg in July 2013.

This season he has scored 10 goals in 43 competitive games for the club, also providing seven assists.
