Italy consolidated their status in the top 10 of the FIFA World Ranking after Nations League victories over France and Israel.

The Azzurri had tumbled down the standings following the EURO 2024 debacle, which saw them bow out in the Round of 16 to Switzerland.

Luciano Spalletti maintains a new era is beginning now with the Nations League and got off to a strong start, securing a 3-1 victory away to France in Paris and then sweeping Israel aside.

Despite that result, France remain second in the FIFA World Ranking behind World Cup and Copa America winners Argentina.
