Scalvini had been forced off the pitch in the final minutes of the last game of the season against Fiorentina in Bergamo.

The promising defender had scored a goal in the first half, but the match and the season ended in the worst possible way for him.

Scalvini had been included in Italy’s preliminary squad for Euro 2024 and was supposed to arrive in Coverciano on Monday morning to start preparation for the tournament alongside Gianluca Scamacca.

Italy already lost Inter‘s Francesco Acerbi to a groin injury so Juventus defender Federico Gatti has been put on alert.

  1. If he calls up another centre back and it is anyone other than gabbia, then Spalletti has something vs Milan. He deserves a chance.

  2. Perhaps Seria A governance should mandate greater attention to improved training regimes in addition to requiring a cap on non-Italian and non-Italian naturalized players!

  3. Why did not spalerti interviene to keep scalvini on bench for the match…..this is ridiculous …this match had no consequences as far a table goes
