Italy face Bulgaria in their Euro 2016 qualifier and are expected to make at least five changes from the side that beat Malta.

It kicks off on Sunday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT) at the Stadio Barbera in Palermo.

The Azzurri got the result they needed in Florence on Thursday, though 1-0 against Malta with a Graziano Pellè goal that probably should’ve been disallowed hardly silenced critics.

Coach Antonio Conte is rumoured to be heading back to his old 3-5-2 system for Sunday’s clash with Bulgaria.

The squad will train at Coverciano this morning, then fly out to Palermo.

One change is already certain, as Andrea Bertolacci pulled out of the squad due to an injury.

Southampton striker Pellè should retain his spot in attack, but be partnered by either Simone Zaza or Palermo’s own Franco Vazquez.

The 3-5-2 shape means the return of Andrea Barzagli in an all-Juventus defence.

Daniele De Rossi would step in to midfield, with Antonio Candreva on the right after his impressive performance and assist as a substitute against Malta.

Roberto Soriano of Sampdoria and Lazio’s Marco Parolo are fighting for a starting spot.

Andrea Pirlo could well be rested in favour of Marco Verratti, shelving the experiment of playing both together.

The Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence was disappointingly empty for the Malta game, as only around 10,000 tickets were sold.

The public in Palermo has shown more enthusiasm with over 14,000 tickets sold and two days to go.

Italy (probable): Buffon; Bonucci, Barzagli, Chiellini; Candreva, De Rossi, Soriano, Verratti, Pasqual (or De Sciglio); Vazquez, Pellè
