Italy remain in 10th place in the FIFA World Ranking following their disappointing EURO 2024 showing.

The Azzurri were eliminated by Switzerland in the Round of 16, having beaten Albania 2-1, lost 1-0 to eventual trophy victors Spain and drawn 1-1 against Croatia.

It is largely thanks to the group stage exit from Croatia that Italy have remained stable in 10th place, because while overtaken by Colombia in ninth, they are still ahead of the Croatians in 12th.

Italy hang on to 10th place

Argentina and France remain stable in the top two positions, the former consolidating their position after winning the Copa America to follow their World Cup victory, while EURO 2024 winners Spain climb five places to third.

They are ahead of England, who lost the Final, with Brazil dropping down one in fifth.

The top 10 is completed by Belgium in sixth, the Netherlands seventh and Portugal eighth.

Italy are now only a handful of points ahead of Uruguay, who climbed three to 11th place.
