The FIGC has confirmed that Italy will play Ukraine in a friendly in Genoa on October 10.

The Azzurri haven’t qualified for the World Cup, so will next be in competitive action in September, when they face Poland in the first match of the UEFA Nations League.

The following month they will take on Ukraine at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, their 28th game at the iconic stadium.

Italy’s previous record there reads 16 wins, eight draws and three losses, with the most recent result a 1-0 win over Albania in November 2014, with a goal from Stefano Okaka.

The Azzurri are unbeaten against Ukraine, with six wins and one draw in their meetings so far.
