The Italy national team were visited by five legendary former Azzurri players, namely Francesco Totti, Alessandro Del Piero, Roberto Baggio, Giancarlo Antognoni and Gianni Rivera, during Monday’s training session at Coverciano.
The five legendary former no.10s met CT Luciano Spalletti and all of the players in his provisional squad for Euro 2024, and gave special words of advice heading into the summer tournament.
Each of the Italy greats were presented with a specially printed shirt with their name and the no.10 printed on the back. They all proceeded to sign each other’s shirts in a moving moment captured by the Azzurri social media channels.
The current members of Spalletti’s squad also took to the field wearing a specially customised version of their regular training kit, with the words ‘we are all’ and the no.10 emblazoned on the back.
