Jorginho was hero and villain for Chelsea in the Champions League against Lille, as after giving away a penalty, his inspired pass created the equaliser.

The Italy international was at fault when a chaotic attempt to clear a loose ball saw him accidentally strike it with a raised arm.

Burak Yilmaz converted the penalty to give Lille the lead, but Jorginho made up for it with a smart slide-rule pass to release Christian Pulisic for the angled drive in stoppages.

The Azzurri will be eager to see Jorginho find some confidence and form ahead of the World Cup play-offs against North Macedonia, then either Portugal or Turkey.
