The Coverciano training ground near Florence, which is already used to assign coaching badges and hosts the Italy squad, will become the first permanent centre for the formation and training of VAR.

The Coverciano training ground near Florence, which is already used to assign coaching badges and hosts the Italy squad, will become the first permanent centre for the formation and training of VAR.
This will include a simulator allowing officials from Italy and all around the world to hone their skills using the new technology.
It will be run by Roberto Rosetti, the former referee who has been developing the technology since its inception and was chosen as VAR Project Leader by FIFA for international tournaments.
