While Italy have not yet booked their ticket to Germany, there will already be four Italian coaches participating in EURO 2024.

The Azzurri need four points from the remaining two games against North Macedonia and Ukraine to secure their passage to the tournament next summer.

Meanwhile, there are four Italian coaches whose teams have already qualified for the European Championship.

Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco was born in Rossano, near Cosenza, but his family moved to Germany when he was two years old.

Vincenzo Montella took over the Turkey job on September 21, but still secured the result to get them over the line.

Marco Rossi has taken Hungary to the EURO 2024 tournament with today’s 2-2 draw away to Bulgaria.

Slovakia coach Francesco Calzona also booked his ticket with a 4-2 comeback victory over Iceland.

If Spalletti manages to get the results he needs in the final two matches, then there will be five coaches participating in the EURO 2024 group phase.

  1. @ Enrico – It is actually an interesting statistic. If Spalletti makes it (and we really hope he does) that makes 5 Italian coaches. I doubt any other nationality will have as many. Italian coaches are still very succesful at football
