The Azzurri were top seeds for the draw, but still risked drawing Germany from Pot Two and Serbia from Pot Three.

Italy will host matches at the tournament, with the opening game at the Stadio Olimpico, and will have at least two home matches if they qualify.

The draw was made in Dublin this morning, and Roberto Mancini’s side will face Bosnia & Herzegovina, Finland, Greece, Armenia and Liechtenstein in Group J.

There are six teams in that group, with the four Nations League finalists drawn in groups of five.

Germany will face the Netherlands in Group C, while Spain take on Sweden and England face off with the Czech Republic.
