Italy had conceded the fastest goal in their history against Albania at EURO 2024, but Bradley Barcola and France shattered it scoring after 14 seconds.

See how it unfolds on the Liveblog.

It was truly a nightmare start to the Nations League match at Parc des Princes, as Giovanni Di Lorenzo was caught napping in possession by Paris Saint-Germain starlet Barcola, who sprinted towards goal and curled right-footed into the far top corner past club teammate Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Only 14 seconds of the match had elapsed when the ball hit the back of the net, the fastest goal Italy conceded in their history.

New record for fastest Italy goal conceded

It smashed the previous record of just 23 seconds, which had been set by Nedim Bajrami for Albania in the opening EURO 2024 match.

That was also the fastest goal in the history of the European Championship final tournament.

It means Italy have kept only five clean sheets in Luciano Spalletti’s 15 matches in charge of the Nazionale, none in the last five games played.
