According to Sky Sport Italia, both Alessandro Florenzi and Giorgio Chiellini are in doubt for Italy’s Euro 2020 round of 16 clash against Austria on Saturday.

The Azzurri will face Franco Foda’s side at Wembley on Saturday, June 26.

Roberto Mancini’s men topped group A with three wins from three, seven goals scored and zero conceded. Today they will resume training in Coverciano with a few key players in doubt for the upcoming match against Austria.

Captain Giorgio Chiellini could miss the encounter with a thigh injury sustained against Switzerland last week.

According to Sky Sport Italia, it is still not sure that the 36-year-old will recover in time for the game, and that’s one reason why Mancini rested Francesco Acerbi against Wales on Sunday.

The same goes for Giovanni Di Lorenzo, who didn’t play the last group stage match.

The Napoli full-back has replaced Florenzi, who got injured in the debut game against Turkey.

According to the report, Florenzi had his right calf checked this morning and although his physical condition is improving, he may not recover in time to face Austria.
