The Italian FIGC continues to stand by Michel Platini in the FIFA Presidential election.
Today the various UEFA nations met to discuss whether to back Platini after he was suspended for 90 days by the FIFA Ethics Committee.
“UEFA will very probably not present another alternative candidate out of respect and solidarity to Platini,” FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio told Radio Rai.

“If he is cleared, then the situation will continue with his candidacy. If he is not cleared, then UEFA will decide which other candidate to support.”
