La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Sandro Tonali did not take part in this morning’s training session at Coverciano, so he will miss tomorrow’s game with England in the Nations League.

The ex-Brescia midfielder was supposed to start in the middle of the park against the Three Lions at San Siro tomorrow but has been ruled out of the game with a slight muscle injury.

Tonali wasn’t fully fit when he joined the national team on Monday.

According to the report, Mancini will rest Tonali as a precaution and avoid more severe injuries while Milan are closely monitoring the situation.

Roberto Mancini has confirmed in an interview with Sky Sport Italia, that the Milan midfielder will miss the game with England and is likely to remain out of Monday’s match with Hungary.

“He hasn’t trained much with us and he’s unlikely to be available for the next two games,” said the CT.

Mancini could replace the 22-year-old with his Milan teammate Tommaso Pobega against England.

The CT will address the media at a press conference with Leonardo Bonucci today.
