Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano wants to see a ‘brave’ team against Heart of Midlothian in Scotland tomorrow.

La Viola has just one point in two Conference League games and is desperate for a win to keep qualification hopes alive.

“We must get a win and be more arrogant, we must produce something different and be more dangerous up front,” Italiano said at a press conference.

Fiorentina have been struggling in Serie A, having only won two games from eight, collecting three defeats and one draw away from the Franchi.

“Most of the time, attitude makes the difference,” noted Italiano.

“Perhaps, we don’t show our personality in away games, we must be braver; that’s the way to win away games. Playing far from home is never easy, but we must be different tomorrow.

“I’ve seen Hearts’ European games. They caused trouble for Basaksehir until they broke the deadlock. We must have the right approach, showing the desire to win.”

Fiorentina strikers have been criticised as Luka Jovic and Arthur Cabral have only combined two goals so far, one each. The ex-Real Madrid star is tipped to start tomorrow after being introduced against Atalanta on Saturday for the last 20 minutes.

“I saw a different Jovic in Bergamo. He put in a high-level performance in 20 minutes, it wasn’t easy,” said Italiano.

“The season has just started. He needs trust and everyone must show it to him. It all depends on what we produce up front. I hope he can score a goal to boost his confidence. I’ve seen signs of improvements and I hope he can continue tomorrow.”
