Vincenzo Italiano has been linked with numerous Serie A clubs, but it’s reported he will extend his contract with Spezia.
The 43-year-old took Spezia to their first ever promotion into the top flight, then secured their Serie A status in 15th place.
His current contract runs to June 2022, but Italiano has been linked with many sides, including Hellas Verona, Lazio and Sampdoria.
According to Sportitalia, there was a lengthy meeting today with the new club owner – American businessman Robert Platek – and chairman Stefano Chisoli.
The negotiations were positive and it seems as if they will sign a new contract with an improvement on his current salary.
