Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano is expected to sign a contract extension until 2024 with the Tuscans.
Fiorentina have returned to Europe for the first time in five years and the club will reward the 44-year-old coach for last season’s results.
According to multiple reports in Italy, La Viola will almost double Italiano’s wages. The former Spezia boss signed a €1m-a-year deal a year ago, while his new contract will be worth €1.7m plus add-ons which could allow the ex-midfielder to get €2m per season.
Italiano’s stay at the club will be extended until 2024, with an option for a further campaign at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Sky Sport Italia, Il Corriere dello Sport and Tuttomercatoweb all report the same figures. According to TMW, Fiorentina will remove a €10m release clause included in Italiano’s previous deal.
