Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano has revealed goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski is the only injured player in the Viola squad but stressed ‘he will be back soon’.

The Viola are preparing to play in the last 32 of the Coppa Italia against Benevento on Wednesday night and Italiano spoke at a press conference.

He claimed the good period keeps the players injury free, as they play with ‘enthusiasm’, but Dragowski has been out for the last

The 24-year-old Poland international has only played five Serie A games this term, as he struggled with a hamstring injury and fitness problems.

The coach revealed he will be back in the squad soon, but he must fight to reclaim his place between the sticks.

“Everyone is fine, because when you get these results you work with enthusiasm,” Italiano said. “The only player out is Dragowski, but he will soon be back in the group as well.

“For the rest, we are all there and we will try to send the best team onto the pitch.”

  1. Teracciano has done a wonderful job for Fiorentina (as he has for many years tbh). It would be unfair if he loses his place as soon as Dragowski is fit, especially considering how shaky Dragowski was before his injury.
