Vincenzo Italiano believes Fiorentina have ‘matured and grown’ as the season wore on, so they are ready to take on Sivasspor in the Conference League Round of 16.

It kicks off at the Stadio Franchi at 20.00 GMT.

The Viola had started the Conference League very badly, but have now notched up six consecutive victories in the competition.

They also seem to have solved the issue of wasting scoring opportunities, as Luka Jovic and Arthur Cabral are now finding the net regularly.

“It’s better to have two strikers in good shape and feeling confident, they are doing well and it is very positive. There are four games to be played in a handful of days, so fortunately we’ve got strikers on form,” Italiano told Sky Sport Italia.

“Sivasspor are very good at counter-attacking and let’s not forget they did win their group, so there’s quality there. When playing over 180 minutes, we need the utmost focus, a strong start and to score a few goals.”

Fiorentina are coming off a good run of results in both Europe and Serie A, beating reigning champions of Italy Milan at the weekend.

“I told the lads that we played the last four games at a high level, above all because they were all concentrated and put the right quality onto the pitch to bring home the result.”

Fiorentina have won seven of their eight games against Turkish sides in Europe and could set a new club record by winning seven in a row in UEFA competition.

“This side has matured and grown, I am convinced there will not be problems in our approach this evening. I don’t know if Sivasspor will be able to limit us, but we are ready.”
